Inspiring Future Engineers

As a dedicated learning hub, 22 Degrees hires cohorts of graduate engineers each year, mentoring them through our graduate programme. In an effort to bring awareness to building services engineering, a natural progression lends to engaging with local secondary school pupils, opening their eyes to career possibilities in the engineering trades.

Alex and Richard recently visited Western Springs College, highlighting key facets to becoming an engineer and discussing subject pathways which would be beneficial for students to engage with in the lead up to university applications. Students enthusiastically engaged in discussion, driven by buildings in different climates, contemplating what services each would and wouldn’t be needed depending on its surrounding environment. Who knows, in a few years one of our grads may speak of the day they were inspired to become a Building Services Engineer after attending one of our talks.
