Our partnership with Thames Coast Kiwi Care (TCKC) saw a large contingent of staff head into the Coromandel bush to help set up two new trap lines in the effort to deal to stoats, rats, ferrets, possums, and feral cats. Our engineers were impressed with the new, self-resetting AT220 Smart Traps, which can operate for months automatically and send data back to HQ to track their effectiveness. TCKC were thrilled with the effort our team put in, highlighting how they achieved several weeks of volunteer work in a matter of days.
Our MD, Robert Mannes is a keen supporter of TCKC and of the Predator Free 2050 vision. 22 Degrees financially sponsors the organisation and provides a big team for each annual working bee. It’s been hugely satisfying to see significant success in reducing predators and increasing kiwi numbers, thanks to the tireless efforts of volunteers.
