22 Team News

We are delighted to announce our newest team member, Vicki Li. Vicki is our new Technical Manager (Electrical) and has already shown that she’s an amazing addition to the team, bringing 10 years of electrical engineering experience with her. Vicki was born and raised in China, coming to New Zealand to study. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, and has proven she is a strong challenger in our lunchtime 1 v 1 table tennis matches.

Our 2021 graduate intake have now all successfully completed their intensive graduate programme. We’re incredibly proud of the four grads and the hard work they have put into developing their skills and leadership through their time at 22 Degrees.

This programme has been specifically set up to teach them everything they need to be well-rounded, confident engineers. All grads are paired with a mentor to help provide them with valuable one on one mentorship to obtain the knowledge and skills needed to pass our graduate program.

Eden Park Sustainability Tour

Our ESD team was recently invited to tour Eden Park’s sustainability practices they put in place to host the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

We are very impressed with the sustainability practices they have implemented to help minimize their environmental impact and give back to the community. From hot composing, and creating biodiversity-promoting gardens to world-class rainwater harvesting and reuse systems, Eden Park has done it all to spark change in the sporting and entertainment industry.

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup was the first Women’s World Cup to be hosted entirely by green-building certified stadia. We are excited to see these sustainability regulations put in place for large sporting competitions and to be a part of a sustainable engineering future.
