You might not believe it but summer is here! Where has the year gone?
We’ve been busy here at headquarters, launching a new LinkedIn video series, turning 22 and finding Jennifer’s hidden talent!

With the year coming to an end, we’re finishing strong. We celebrated our 22nd Birthday, went Axe throwing and are looking forward to Christmas Party Week in the office!
Earlier in November we celebrated our 22nd birthday at Sails. The event was fantastic with all involved well fed and entertained. Kirstie O’Sullivan MC’d and entertainment was provided by the brilliantly talented performers from The Dust Palace. Our MD Robert Mannes shared his thanks to guests and his original mentor Tony Thompson. From 2000 to today, from the garden shed to our own building, from one man to a team of 30, from one service to multiple services, it’s been an awesome journey.
The team headed down to Sweet Axe Throwing to go relieve a bit of stress with the year coming to crunch time. What better way than flinging axes at boards of wood and making a bit of a competition of it? Everyone successfully left the premises with 10 toes and fingers. Jennifer came out with a new talent, turning out to be phenomenally accurate. The quote of the day was Robert, “Looks like I need to hide the axe”.
As the year winds down, we have a week of fun and activity planned. Family night dinners, working lunches, games day tournaments and lots of table tennis.
We’re Talking BS
We’ve recently launched a new segment on our LinkedIn where we sit down and talk BS (aka building services!) with our consulting engineers. Project Spotlight
Onehunga High School
After a year and a half of construction, it’s an absolute delight to finally see students and staff enjoy their well-deserved new Gym and Tech Block at Onehunga High School.
This was a complex site infrastructure design to align with site staging and construction, all while minimising disruption to the school. This project with Ignite Architects involved mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics design. In all we were involved with the new technology block, gymnasium, satellite unit and other refurbishments to existing portions of the school. The project produced some challenges along the way but has come together extremely well with everyone pleased with the end result.
