About Manurewa High School

This new building at Manurewa High School was aimed at bridging the gap between high school, tertiary education, and the real world of work. The building features a high-tech screen with elliptical shapes and traditional carving colours, enhancing its architectural significance for the Māori and Pasifika community.

Inside, the open-plan spaces include an amphitheatre with tiered seating and a large screen for audio-visual teaching. The facility, seen as a learning immersion pod, also houses a full sized library, a maker space and seven teaching spaces. It replaces old, condemned structures, providing a modern and collaborative environment for students and staff.
