A high-end events space at Ellerslie’s Auckland Racing Club, this project included new construction and fit-out of an historic building, requiring protection of the visual aspect of the premises. This was achieved by close coordination with Young & Richards to develop acceptable solutions.

A key innovation was concealing the air-conditioning and ventilation equipment in the main event space by locating them beneath the concrete floor in a network of trenches. The outcome was an aesthetically-pleasing, well-ventilated event space, free from visually-obstructing duct work.
