This project involved the redevelopment of an existing rest home facility for CHT Bernadette Care Home & Hospital, Mount Maunganui. The development created 44 additional residences in both the rest home and hospital facilities and 12 new common areas. The existing rest home remained operational while the works were underway and the project was split into three stages or “wings”. It involved demolishing part of and extending the existing buildings to accommodate the facility’s growth.
