About TKKM o Ngati Kahungunu o te Wairoa
Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Ngati Kahungunu o Te Wairoa project involved the construction of new classroom spaces suitable for year 1 through to 13. The new building provides advanced ‘modern learning environments’ (50-60 pupils per classroom in open-plan learning spaces) with a variety of well-connected learning spaces which can be used by the school and community alike. The Kura Kaupapa school operates under Māori custom and using Māori as the medium of instruction and reflects the unique landscape and the history of Wairoa and its people.
