About Rotorua Police Station
The Rotorua Police Station refurbishment modernised the 1967 building, creating spaces fit for purpose in today’s environment. Upgrades included a variety of spaces ranging from open plan office areas, meeting rooms, kitchens, toilets, armoured vaults, labs, interrogation rooms.
The design references Māori architecture with the building representing Rotorua’s people and history. The materials used were carefully selected to withstand the high sulphur levels in Rotorua’s environment.
